Very nicely done...probably the first book I`ve liked so far, from this author. I`ll prefer more pages, but even so, the book developed surprisingly well. Maybe because I`m fun of "I" (singular) style of writing or kind of found my history in it, it was nice rainy afternoon with this book.
While there is some drama in the story this is mainly a character-driven novella. There are a few homophobic people in town but mostly this book is populated with patient, kind, good people. SOMETHING NEW is a quick, sweet read, perfect for a relaxing evening with a book or for a restful story between more intense books. I will be watching for more books by Ms Fielding.
Enjoyable read! I enjoyed the characters and the way the story developed. No great mystery or tragedy was needed, just daily life.
